td4 deisel tank leak

noticed slight amount of diesel on drive .it is damp under fuel tank with small drip from bracket holding plastic tray. i have read there is a seal for fuel pump on top of tank that sometimes goes but cant find inspection hole in car to check it. want to check it first before spending big bucks. anyone help cheers

hello

lift your rear o/s seat up, pull carpet back into load area and you will have a black cover, think its 6 screws. a bloke in birmingham has tanks at £30 s/h if you do need one. let me know and will ind his number

Had a look at top of tank through inspection hole it was a bit oily dirty but not really wet with diesel only a bit wet by overflow pipe but not around pump seal .The tank is about 3/4 full this wouldnt cause it to overflow would it? Does it sound like the tank it self might be leaking if so any idea of how much for new one fitted
