Hi, am currently converting my TD to a 200tdi and have come to the stage of attaching the air intake. Can you use the old TD air filter with the 200tdi engine?? apparently it doesnt let enuff air thru or somthin?? is this tru? would certainly be easier to mount it! If not anyone got any tips on how and where to mount the disco 200tdi air filter? Cheers

Do you think Land Rover would have changed air filters for the 200Tdi if they didn't need to? The 200 is a lot more powerful therefore will require a lot more air, especially when the turbo cuts in. Want to strangle the engine?

Got one on mine with on problems.
The only problem I could see was I fitted the plastic piece on the bottom of the filter housing from the 200 and I think that's the only place i gets a bit smaller.

nothing like a good clear straightforward answer!so what was the final verdict?
no really it doesn't .......
slightly different point but when peeps change a N/A leaving the standard exhaust WILL be restrictive
