tc on td5

Hi there just another newbie to the site wanting to pick some brains.

Having moved upto a 2001 td5 auto from me old 300 just over a year ago, i have a question about the automactic traction control.
when it engauges it makes a sound at times like a old fashioned football rattle?
is this good or bad ? if so what causing it.

Its the abs unit pump applying the brakes to the spinning wheels, it is normal
