Hi there, hope someone can help. I have a Freelander 1.8 1999. The HDC stoped working some time ago but, as I only use it in suberbia I didn't worry. Now, after a wash... the TC light is on full time. I seem to have ABS and evrything else is fine just no HDC and a TC warning.

HELP PLEASE, I love this car.

Thanks for the reply. I had a look and it seems to be the new type. I'll give the switch another once over and get back.

HELP. Ok. 3 amegos type problem... Turn on ignition and all 3 lights come on straight away. No grinding noise from the ABS pump.
All wheel sensors giving a reading of about .95 ohms
Brake light switch replaced.
HDC switch working fine.
Brake lights and reversing lights working fine.

Hair turning grey and a we buy any car value of £700.00.

Any clues?

and the first gear switch??

Yeah I have roughly the same issue - all sensors seem OK but i've ordered two front sensors from eBay and will replace them (after getting the old ones out, of course) and see whether that makes a difference. Taking it for MOT today so have removed the 3 amigos light bulbs. I do suggest you put it on the LR dealer's 'pooter to diagnose where the fault is (though they'll probably charge you £50 for the privilege). This can often be caused by the wheel being knocked which I think is the case on my car. I think the general suggestion is to remove the hub, reseat the ABS sensor and clean the reluctor ring. And in future, grease the ABS sensor every chance you get!

Update - tester didn't notice the lack of ABS light so the brakes passed. Unfortunately the emissions failed so it needed a new exhaust and cat (£332 later). Still, got another year's ticket and just bought two new front sensors which i'll fit soon. Going to attack them with a slide hammer and see how well that goes.

Just to let you know. I took the ABS Modulator out. Stripped it down to componants and replaced. Didn't do any godd but had a great time in the garage away from the wife...
