Hi all, Just picked up my replacement RR Classic for the one that was stolen last week . Its a '92 3.9efi se vogue fitted with a Tartarini tec99 evolution lpg system.
I drove from the sellers house with just the red led on , which I take means its on petrol. I then filled up with LPG and restarted the car. I pressed the button , and the green tank level led's lit up along with a flashing amber. As I revved upto about 1500 rpm the unit went back to red only. So I assumed it hadn't switched over. I switched off the ignition and then switched back on . Restarted with just red on , and then pressed button again . The green ones came on again with the flashing amber. As I revved up again , all the led's went out ! I assume I have blown a fuse. I couldn't see an obvious fuse for it , so I had to drive home on petrol (130 miles !!! sob sob !!).
The control module on the dash , has 5 led's along the bottom , one red one on the right on the petrol pump symbol , and one led on the left on the TA symbol, with the button between the two top ones.
Can anyone advise where I might find the fuse , or give me any other advise please. I am trying to locate an installation manual also.Regards, Bob.
p.s. the car drove superbly apart from the gas problem.

I have a similar system, is there any beeps when changes from flashing amber to red? Is the red flashing? Reason I ask is that is the 'fault mode' and indicate a varety of things.

Mine did this and turned out to be a bad earth causing the unit to think the water temp was 145 degrees, plugged it in and installed a earlier firmware to LPG ECU which did not cut out gas in this environment and all good (for now).

Its dead at the moment , with no lights at all , so I need to find a fuse. Any idea where they are commonly mounted. I d'ont remember hearing any beeps. When i switched over , the red went out and the amber started flashing. Then the amber went out , and the red came back on.

Right well there is a in-line fuse coming from where the engine ECU is on my P38 and it sits under the engine fuse box lid with the others (although it just dangles there), as for that I don't know to be honest, sorry.

Best bet though is to either get the lead & software yourself (about £30 on eBay) or get a LPG guy to have a shifty.

I a planning on getting the software myself as been a few times to the LPG man and watched him carefully as he does his thing and to be honest, it's all automatic/idiot proof.

Good news ! This morning , I found the fuse holder on the opposite side to the ecu , next to the ABS pump , and found one fuse blowed , and the internals of the holder slightly corroded. Gave it a clean out and replaced fuse, all ok now , switched over and amber light stayed lit.Its one of those systems where two torpedo tanks are in place of the original , with an auxillary ally petrol tank under the offside rear wing.Anybody know what capacity they generally are ?
regards, bob
