Definately a project. Heard about it Tuesday, bought it Thursday, drove it home. Still has mot to December, starts, with smoke but clears up and runs ok with lotslof issues, just fitted osf wheel bearing, took me a day toe remove roundedrounded caliper studs, fully expecting more of this kind of thing. Changing fubar'd uj's on front prop too. Previous owner drove from Hull to Nottingham every day in it, he did tell me bearing was nipped up not replaced for last mot, thought it strange but now I know why, I hate so called mechanics who do half a job, rant over. It needs new springs, shocks, 5 doors, bit of floor repair, Driver side, long term it'll be sorted to a good standard nice paint job & we'll looked after alongside the td5 disco. Lots of work to do but it'll be worth it, may even fit a 200 tdi too. Any advice welcome especially sourcing body parts as doors are almost hanging off, ha ha.
