Tailgate seal

There has been water under the carpet in the boot. I have lifted the carpet and not too rusty. i thought the source might be sunroof but when I put a hose-pipe on the roof the water was running in from the top of the tailgate door. I can't see any splits in the rubber seal. What is the easiest and cheapest fix? Is there an adjustment to pull the door in tighter?

I used some draught stopper between the door seal and the body to lift the door seal "lip" to make it seal more effectively.
It is also possible to adjust the hinges to alter the fit.

Thanks. It sounds better than splashing out £75 for the whole seal.
