Tailgate Issues

Hello, yet another freelander tailgate problem. Please help!
My tailgate window was stuck in the down position (99 5 door). I have fitted a new regulator and it now goes up. However, if i try to lower the window from the switch it beeps and only lowers an inch. When fully lowered I can get the window to go back to the top. However, when it's in the up position the door won't open at all, the window drops an inch at time until fully lowered. I've tried disconnecting the battery (been disconnected for 10 minutes) to recalibrate but the window does not fall to the fully lowered position. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

hi i had the same problem and was told to disconect the battery for 5 minuets and it resets its self .worked for me

It's all out there - resyc your fob and re schedule the heights of windows etc.

Thanks but Ive read the F manual and it doesn't work! Thats why I'm asking for help! The suggested resync procedures aren't working. Has anyone tried re-sync procedures and still been left stumped.

hi sawyer iv'e just lost a harris hawk when the back window came down when i was putiing the bits in my shed went back for him and the back window had come down he had picked his leash and gone also when i was out looking for him i had £1000 telemetry system and about £350 worth of fishing box and kit nicked dont think it will be insuresd as i did'nt lock shed or gate so have lost all i care about because a back window down coming down iv'e now tapped upped the micro switch so the window won't come down, talk about after the horse has bolted

I had same problem on mine and by the way sorry to hear about your probs bikertanz, hope you get dog back!
I couldn't get mine to re set either and i eventually found that it was working opposite to what it was meant to so i swapped + and - on motor inside tailgate, re set and hey presto it worked! think motor had been replaced in an earlier attempt to fix befor e i bought and it was just different set up???
still working now and that was 3 years ago.

what i've done now is disconect the micro switch on the roof so the truck thinks the roof is on and the window won't come down will make a proper fix when i'm in a better frame of mind in had some sleep not had much since sunday
