13 years of Portuguese sun left the rubber trim of the tailgate handle like this
it seems that LR doesn't sell a rubber replacement so I had to do some adapting...
handle removed, minor rust on bolts and dust on micro-switches, cleaned and lubed the springs
cut the rubber trim so it fits on the inside of the handle
the rubber is the same kind as used in aluminium windows to fit the glass and I just glued it to the cut-out edge of the old rubber
done!!!
