hi all just changed the tailgate on the hippo (rust issues) all went well until i put the window up. no matter what i try i cannot get the window to close under the trim always goes up outside the trim what am i doing wrong:confused:

Hey same problem. I've been having to press on the window. Didn't know that it was supposed to go up without having to press on the window since I've always had it like that lol so where are the screws?

hi there not screws they look like bolts bottom left and right of the regulater undue the nut and screw the threaded bar in or out depending on which way you need the top of the glass to go bit vague i know but when you the bolts you will understand hope this helps

Take the tailgate door card off and at the bottom of the door will be two nuts with a slotted screw in (or torx/hex - can't remember which!)

By turning these you'll move the glass in and out - do a measured turn each time or mark starting position so you can always go back!

mine are just threaded bar with locking nuts on the end no slots or torx:confused:

I had the same today. Although mine had a torx, it would not move so I took the whole threaded bar out and inserted a couple of washers between the inner door skin and the regulator - Put the screws back in and it had tilted the regulator back far enough for the glass to clear the top trim.

Bit trial and error and its best to have someone else pressing the switch so you can watch whats going on at the back!

I started with one washer then added another, as one didn't quite tilt the glass back far enough.
