Tailgate fails to open.

Hi All
Just tried too open my rear door on my freelander 1 td4 ES 2000 plate, and it will not open!!!, window drops as it should but door won't budge.
I'm assuming I've to get in the back and get door card off, but after that what am I looking at doing ???
Any tips or tricks will be greatly appreciated.

Dont know about FL but on a Disco you can pop the badge off the handle and get at it. Ask in the FL forum.

Sounds like the door release solenoid isn't working.
It's visible once you get the door card off, just under the latch assembly.
