I recently took the Tail door panel off to repair the lock and while I was doing it a Rubber Seal 20"(50cms) fell off it but I didn"t see were it came from and even now I still can"t see anywhere that has a seal missing except I have noticed that water must be leaking into the boot space because on cold mornings the front screen is covered in condensation. There"s no water getting into the underfloor apartment where the Jack is. I"
m going to try and put an image of the Seal on this thread!!!

The picture didn't work!! If it is a thin seal shaped a bit like a hockey stick then it fits in the edge of the rear door panel. It hs no water sealing properties, purely finishes off the fit and probably stops rattles.

Yes I thought I hadn"t done it properly, but what you suggested sounds exactly what it is. When the door is closed would it be the side nearest the door handle?

Thanks for the info. I was going to sell my Freelander but I can"t find anything better for the money I"ve got to spend. I want another preferably 3 door Freelander TD4 Auto but it must be a Mark 1 the only thing is I don"t think they made 3 door in the Facelift models, or did they?
cheers
