Hey troops

Getting D1 on Sunday, only thing is I've noticed that it's got a taco installed, now I'm not going to be using this for work, just pleasure etc. I don't think I need a cpc card but want to be sure

What do you think?

What was it used for by its last owner?

Some are fitted with Tachos if they are used commercially for recovery work if the combined weight of Disco, trailer and recovered vehicle is likely to exceed, I believe. 3.5 tonnes.

That's what I was thinking, is it fitted with a tacho because it's spent some of its long life dragging heavy trailers about? If so, what effect has this had on the vehicle?

May present an issue at MOT time.
Possibly needed to be tested at Ministry, as opposed to 'normal' garage.
