Synergy fitting

I've just fitted the Synergy to my TD4 and just want to check i've done it correct before i drive it (the instruction pics aren't very clear).

I removed the plastic cover on the fuel rail and connected it to the only plug i could see (on left hand side looking towards car)?
It didn't click into place as it wont push on far enough?
I placed the box on the o/s/f inner wing behind the coolant bottle using double sided tape which looks neat enough.
I've set it to setting 6 which i think should be more than enough of an improvement

Does this sound right?

ok, i realised i fitted it to the wrong connector so rectified this by fitting it to the connector on the end of the fuel rail (near the egr valve).

when everything was re-installed the engine wouldn't start with the unit switched on, switching it off it would start?

What i thought was a simple plug and play is turning into a nightmare

unit is now removed again???

Sounds like you need to send it back for a replacement. Contact them first.
