Swivel Pins

Hi My 98 Disco has failed the MOT for a worn front swivel pin. I have been told this will cost me 150 nuggets to have done, am I been done! or is this reasonable. The landrover site I looked on stated these were tapered shimmed pins and could be adjusted the garage insists it has to be changed, who is right

the mot man. If you don't like then get a second opinion. Could be all rusted up and f@@Ked up and only repair is new

they are taper bearings 606666g that preload is shimmed to correct amount unlike the bushes on pre 300 defenders you cant reallly tighten them up if worn as bearing if worn enough to be loose needs replacing i would have said reasonable quote
