Had a good search and think i know what i need just hoping someone can confirm before i order. Its a 1989 90 2.5td the swivel has a bush at the top and taper roller bearing at the bottom, from what i have seen it should be a FTC5105? Also noticed that the housing has only 2 plugs instead of 3 a drain and a level so i assume the one shot is put in via the level plug until it comes out.

The number you have FRC5105 is a ABS swivel, I think you need FRC7065 Non ABS swivel.ther are only two plugs for oil, one drain and one filler, as you said fill it till it overflows.

Cheers, new I'd get it arse upwards

If you are going to use one shot grease after fitting the new swivels, don't fill to the level plugs. One shot comes in a measured quantity sachet one for each housing, you only fill to the level plug if using oil.

Great, I'll whack the whole lot in

Looks like an interesting job. I like overhauling axles. Put us some pictures up of the new stuff going together.

Don't use a bloody Britpart kit, but all the bits separately so you can be sure of getting decent spec. bearings etc.

The balls themselves from Britpart were alright when I did mine, though that doesn't necessarily mean they're still good now as it was a little while ago I did the work.

After cleaning everything up, on closer inspection looks like i need a new stub axle as well
