Up **** creek.
hi im just replacing my swivel housing oil with one shot swivel housing grease but was wondering:- it sais in the haynes not to overfil, if too much oil has been put in then to let it drain out from the level plug hole, how do i know if ive put too much grease in and what will happen if i do? cheers.

If you over-fill, it will find it's way out and onto your brake disc (well, mine did anyway) - not good.
You could try opening the drain plug and seeing if it will slowly drip out.
Or try sucking some out with a syringe.

i used 1 pack plus 6G of another pack on 1 swivel - ive just wieghed the newly opened grease and it weighs 6G less than when new, ive just got my little boys calpol syringe, attached a piece of syphoning tube and removed 6G of grease from the housing -phew, cheers treworgy your a lifesver (literally) do you think everything should now be ok?

Yea.
If you ask me, it's better to under fill a little - you never get 100% of the old stuff out anyway. I use one sachet per side, but I don't worry about squeezing every last drop out of it.
