A lot of bods with the series and the likes throw one shot in. It is less (hmm) likely to leak... If it's leaking it'll leak either way
I'd replace the swivels and the rest of the bowl fittings. I understand keeping it's originality but these parts are consumables and are an acceptable replacement through the cars life oy tink!
