Picked up new Disco yesterday. Drove it all the way from north Leeds, to near Grimsby, 100mile on quarter of a tank and the fuel light came on at Scunny, still made the next 40mile home, then back out to get go go juice, missed maxing out the Tesco fuel pumps.

Drives fine, but there seems to be a bit of 'howling' from the front left, and going over 70 on the motorway is ermmmm well lets just say 'exciting' nearly rattled the fillings.out my grandkids!!!
 
Found out that the heater is not working. It wofts warm air out. But the fan doesn't come on.

Hoping it is just a blown fuse. Does anyone know what number it is?
I'm currently at work, and not near it too look, and when i finish it will be dark.
 
Going too when i can. It is only going to be on the road today before coming off again for a full service so will check them then.
 
Other than the wrong wheels to looks quite tidy, what's the black painted area above the windscreen for ?

Tried a lint last sat and nearly threw up. Can't drink anymore.

You know i never noticed the black bit before will have a look tomorrow.

It has had the EGR block off, stripped it off the rolo, went to put it on, and there was nothing there. So who would like a EGR block off for their 300tdi for the price of postage???
 
That black bit is probably a repaint, or perhaps a strip of vinyl to cover up/protect that part of the roof from getting stone chips on it ;) Looking at the chips on my D2, I'd need a similar sized strip. :eek:
