hi my swb needs new springs, ihave a set of lwb springs would these be ok as they are the same length width ?
would it just be a harder ride which wouldnt bother me as its only used around town?

If they're new, harsher stiffer ride with less axle travel off road. If they used, might be nicely broken in and just right. I had LWB springs on the back of mine for years, first spent a couple of weeks on a motor that was severly overloaded all the time. (It was an 88, we finally put 1 ton springs on it, but it still sagged!)

They will deffo fit. You may need to fit the longer U Bolts as I found the ones for the swb do not work.

I have fitted the LWB springs (or heavy duty as they are sometimes referred to as) on the rear of my SWB Landie. Not through choice, but I got them sent to me by mistake and I couldn't be bothered to do anything about sending them back. Considering that I will be loading it up quite a lot on my trips I wasn't too fussed anyway.

Interesting about what you say about the ride softening over time. I found that I now have a lot more movement than I did before. I guess that might have been my old leafs were completely knackered and the new ones are a bit more supple.

Are you changing all four leafs? Only asking because if you replace 2 (partic if they are quite new) your landie won't sit very level.
