Hey up chaps just needed to pick your brains about poss axel swap ,is it more or less a straight forward swap do I need to use disco runnin gear with the front or will the defs do .The 110 is drum on rear ,seams a shame to scrap such good axels one more thing will the steering box fit also Cheers.:)

Thanks for that CharlesY do you no if the power steering box will fit as it seams in good condition .

Don't quote me on this .... but (a) I am pretty sure it will fit the chassis - bolt straight on job, and (b) will work great.

Make sure you get the whole kit, and that may include a new crankshaft pulley. The pump with brackets and reservoir and hoses goes without saying.

If the hoses don't fit the DEF, new ones are cheap enough anyway.

Remember, the power steering box is MUCH higher geared than the manual box, so without power assistance it will be a bugger to turn at low speeds and parking, and the extra strain will soon do in your steering column UJs.
