Picked up a Td5 a couple of days ago, noticed today there’s a couple of very small holes in the suspension turrets, don’t think they’re a massive job to change.
Question is what have i got? The guy said it’s been lifted 2” so guessing I’d need the correct size turrets, assuming the lifted ones are taller. Has anyone got the height of a standard one or a lifted one so I can double check??
Also has anyone got a measurement to the underside of the arch or something so I can see if it is higher or not?? Or any other easier way to check??

And just a heads up. It might be worth reading up and understanding your suspension and the mods you might have. For instance. The turret has nothing to do with lifting a vehicle ;)

Haha everydays a learning day!
Only got it a couple of days ago, never really know what your buying when it’s 2nd 3rd or 5th hand!!
So I’m guessing they’re all the same height? Only ask as I saw on eBay they do turrets and some are listed for 2” lift vehicles and most are just listed as standard replacement!!

As I said. Well worth putting in the effort and learning up how stuff works. Different turret height is to alter the shock position to alter the rest position of the shock and how much up and down travel it will have from that point. Longer shocks can also result in the need for different turrets. These may be linked with a lift, but don’t have to be :)

Ah ok, so safer bet might be to get some the same height as I’ve got.
Motorbikes and building a race bike is fine, these are a tad different! Will get there tho!!
