suspension problems on p38

Hi guys.

Well still not managed to sort the battery drain and now have a new problem. I have the first and third light stuck on the suspension height control switch. Also 35mph warning on dashboard. Any ideas how to clear this? Also suspension is stuck on rubber bumpers refusing to come up.
I have tried EAS unlock software, but not making any difference at the present time.

sounds like you've a leak or a dead compressor.

take a deep breath... ok now first verify the compressor actually comes on. if it doesn't that's your first problem. you need to start checking fuses and relays, maybe try jumping the compressor directly to see it physically runs. on the other hand if it you do hear it run then start with checking the system for leaks. soapy water is best and something like a syringe (without the needle) to get you into the tight spaces. check at each airbag connection, the reservoir tank connection, the dryer connections and each of the valve block connections. fix any leaks you find. for all the places i just listed, the fix is new o-rings and trimming the end off the pipe. if you're still on the rubber bumpstops then your leak is likely to be the airbags themselves or somewhere along the harness. you'll need to raise the car and get under with your soapy water. if its bags, get new bags. if its harness, you may be able to just splice a bit of new tubing in. i'd be surprised by now if your car still does not rise. most likely it will come up but might drop a few inches overnight. bad news, you've still got a leak, probably in the valve-block. this indicates an overhaul which you can do yourself, all the parts and plenty of advice available on line. of course if you had leaks in the system and in the valve block then 10 to 1 your compressor's pretty much knackered so you might as well overhaul that too...

or chuck it all in and get a coil conversion!

when you say you have tried the EAS software, does it give error codes?
