Trying to find information on suspension lifts to a disco 1. I`ve just bought a pro comp 2" lift kit and it looked in reasanable knick for a second hander, but the rear end looks the same hieght as it was b4 the change and the front looks the right hieght as expected.

Looking at the new springs b4 fitting they all seemed the same length as each other and also the same length as the old springs whereas the shocks
were obviously longer. After fitting the ride was s**t and because this is my first landrover and my first lift job I am not sure wether this is the normal way LR`s handle when lifted

Have you measured the height a the rear to see if there is any difference? Also lifting a Disco is not as straight forward as just putting longer springs and shocks on it. You need to lengthen the brake pipes, fit new radius arms, and trailing arms and unless you want to knacker your propshaft, you should always fit a prop with wider UJ yokes. After doing all of this, your Disco will still handle like **** cause you have raised the centre of gravity.

You sure you got the springs on front to front? Fronts are usually thinner steel, with more coils ... ;)

Hi, check out the springs are not front to back . Plus the length of them. if you are still unsure, phone or check out web sites for liftkits plus sizes. ;). hope you fix it .
