why don't you recommend unwinding the connector air tube ?

i should really learn to subscribe to threads i reply to.
The delphi connectors can be unscrewed and wound back in, the dunlops are not designed to be removed as i found out. one screwed back in, the other didnt tighten fully up so i contacted island 4x4 and received the reply below

Hi Andy

One thing is very important. The brass union should not be removed. This is a push fit fitting and is not designed to be removed.

Remove the brass fitting voids any warranty. The correct fitting procedure is:-

Remove the brass fitting from the old strut (as the strut is now no longer needed)
Remove the collet and brass nut from the pipe
Cut pipe back 5mm to remove any scratches
Push the pipe into the brass fitting on the new strut

All the items are new stock never been previously sold.

Regards

Sam
