Hey all,

I just wanted to get a recomendation on a good set of standard height springs for a B reg Land Rover 90. I like the height and didnt want a lift but the springs are very rusty and getting close to the end of their life. I have been looking for a good qualiy set but all I can seem to find that look like a quality kit are for a 2 inch lift (Terra Firma, BRITPART, etc.). I like the Terra Firma kit but I wish they made in standard height. I was also going to slowly convert to poly bushes and wanted a soft (fit well) kit. I have heard bad things about britpart but not any of the other Poly kits. I want to treat the old girl and wanted to get some oppinions. Oh yea, I did a search and didnt find what I was looking for.

Thank you,

Replaced my originals with Flat dog HD springs, standard height

Thanks Gents, I wil look into the Flat Dog ones, I ee the tent at the shows but thought they only did bolt on bits. If they are not too pricy I might give them a try. A replaced set of original springs are probbaly the best for cost and function but my OCD wants a little bit of an upgrade. Thanks again for the advice.

Running BP standard spec springs on my 90 with Koni Heavy Track shocks, work just fine.

Ran Scorpion Std Ht HD springs & DC shocks for years but eventually one of the rear springs snapped so I had to go through all the bother (again) of trying to find a set-up that suited me best.
Settled on BM HD springs but these incorporated a lift and despite changing the front springs (twice) I still found the ride way too firm for my otherwise standard / unlaiden 90 Soft-Top. In the end I bit the bullet and (working on the assumption I might be changing them again in the future) I went for standard BP items and as it turns out I couldn't be happier. Matched to the Koni shocks they are soft yet have excellent handling characteristics and more than cope with any loads I put in it.
Last week I junked the BM polyurethane bushes that I fitted a few years ago and went back to OEM and what a massive improvement thay have made to the ride quality.

Anyone want a set of BM HD blue springs, 1K miles only?
