I've got a bit of cash to spend this month so sorting a few things out with the landy. The suspension is 20 years old this year and I've added a bit of weight to it so decided that maybe replacing the suspension is a good step forward....

I've added a winch bumper at the front and plan to add a winch this summer plus I've added a roll cage style light bar, rear light bar, 2nd battery, loads of trim and dash upgrades and plan a 2nd rear fuel tank. I will also be adding a tow bar in order to tow a small trailer and VERY rarely a larger trailer.

So a few questions....

Is a medium load setup the best things to go for?
I have 235x65 16 tyres now but would probably like to get some larger wheels maybe later this year - What is the maximum size tyre/wheel combo using standard lift springs?
Whilst changing the suspension would it be best to change bushes at the same time?
Are poly bushes worth the extra?

Is this combo at £300 total a good setup or do I pay more for poly/different make?

If I'm going to be limited to wheel size later maybe I should get a 2" lift now but if I do should I get a full kit? They cost about £700 or so so this is a LOT more money.

265/75/16 are more than 3 1/2 inches larger diameter, and also a standard fit on fenders.

Thanks, that was realistically the largest tyre I was going for so that means I do not need to mess around with anything larger than standard size suspension.

Give gwyn Lewis a ring, he's very very helpful wont sell you it if you want it but he says it a waist of money and you don't,n fair on price, I'm very happy with the setup he put together for me.

Thanks...

I've just spent more than a grand on the landy over the past couple of days so the suspension will now have to wait till the end of Feb.... This will give me plenty of time to work out the best way of doing things and best setup to get.

Will ring him and see what he says.
