Erm the Test Book is the Land Rover Diagnostics kit, you can go to any Land Rover Dealer and they will put it on their Test Book System and charge you £80+.
The only reason would be to look at fault codes and clear them down.
The alternative is to purchase a Faultmate and use that to read and clear down faults., there are lots of threads on here about Diagnostics kits, some only read and clear faults, others let you do a whole lot more to your Rangie.
