Sorry guys, another question....!

I (finally) worked out how to release the clamshell to allow the back part (hinge side) to lift out, but the front 'pins' seem to be almost welded in. I can't lift the glass up vertically for fear of it popping, but the front hinges seem stuck fast.

Am I missing anything ?

No, once the back is released you should be able to lift it up to vertical to release it. Might have been 'sealed' by a previous owner at some time.

Mine has so much crud in the hinge mechanism that it did not allow it to move.
Do no force it up to the vertical position it will break the metal sliders that act as hinges (I know this happens).
Try dismantling the hinges take off the inside cover first and remove the holding screws you should be then able to remove the glass complete with hinges and work on it off the vehicle.

Cheers chaps - I suspected this was going to be a hinges off job. As above, there's so much c*** I think that's contributing to the leak so want to try an sort it out !
