Does anyone know where my sunroof relay is located..freelander 1998...is it in the fusebox under the steering wheel...if so which one is it...or is it hidden somewhere else...still got a bit of daylight left to go and have a look..thanks..Russ
 
just checked my Haynes for you, it dunt have one that i can see.

there is a fuse at position F12, 15amp, in the the fusebox under the steering wheel.

the sunroof motor has an in-built cut-out overload thingy, apparently.




oh and Russ, this site dunt auto-refresh you have to leave the page and come back or press F5 on your keyboard ;)

Yeah got that mucker.....got my avo on F 12 with the fuse out and not getting 12 volts...looked at the wiring diagram and it indicates there is a relay prior to the fuse....trouble I have got is I dont have a picture of the fuse box that has an arrow pointing to it to say, ok thats the little baby you have to swap with another to see if it works...if all else fails I will have to pinch 12 volts from somewhere else just to feed the motor...just need to see if the motor drives and opens the roof in one direction....if it does reverse the polarity to get it back....if it doesnt work...time for a fag..cheers mate
 
Freelaner you beauty....just come back on line in the chance someone had got back to me....will have a look at that tomorrow night...just out of interest did you get that info from your haynes manual...if so I will have to get me one....thanks mate....I knew there was a decent person in there somewhere....keep the banter up tho mate..do like a sense of humour as you will soon discover..just need to get a bit more familiar with the site and how to use it properly.....starting to get a bit of a feel for the site already after having my virginity taken by you and Dr Evil...looks like your a good double act. Anyway in the spirit of the late 1970s....10/10 til we do it again..thats when 27Mhz was illegal and busby was chasing us all over the place...just thought you could be a youngster and not have a bloody clue what im on about....if thats the case then try this..thanks awfully old chap a spiffing job

i got it out of Haynes, dunt know how i missed it first time

give the thing a good round of lubrication, mine worked initially now it's committed hari kiri cos it were bone dry :(
