hi all new to this forum, seems good.
right i have got a 1995 300tdi and its not a problem but more of a must have.
as you might well be aware my sunroofs are the tilt and slide version,
as i do a lot of shooting and lamping i normally use my vitara but now thats for sale im wanting to use my disco, and im wanting to stand out of the rear sunroof, now with it only sliding half way back before it hits it stoppers i am wanting to know if i get an older version sunroof what just tilts and also you can remove it totally out of the roof giving twice the room to stand out of the roof,
any ideas if its posssible and easy???
thanks

If you can find one the right size for the roof hole it should be a piece of p1ss. One out, other in ... ;)

Mind, make sure you seal it, or clean out the drain channels well ... ;)

My first Discovery (200tdi) had two manual sunroofs which leaked like buggery.
I took it to a local sunroof fitter who claimed that the glass had warped. He replaced both with bigger ones making them really easy to take out and true enough they didn't leak.
Might be worth considering replacing the rear one

hi mate,i know yuo were asking about getting a manual sun roof but i too use my disco for shooting etc, what i do though rather than spending more money is just wip off the inner trim and undo the four star shape bolts that hold the window in place.takes less that a minute, just make sure you dont lose the screws!dont know if thats of any help to you?
