Can anyone help please . I need a used complete sunroof for my freelander 1 . All rails and motor cables are broken , Can anyone put me in the right direction to purchase one . I definitely need a new Cassette with motor cables . I can use own glass frame if necessary . Anybody who has had to change it ,will know how difficult it is to source one . I have been in touch with a few main people , but all they quote is for a new one at around £ 685 + vat .

if you need another motor for it look at the cog wheel on a second hand one if the teeth look very used you can get a new one but make sure you get a metal one the plastic ones will just shred do a search on here I put on how to change that cog

Repair kits can be found on eBay. They seem to be the glass panel mechanism i.e. plastic cogs tracks ... Try this eBay link here and scroll down...
Thanks htr . I have today managed to locate one from Euro metal Recycling of Birkenhead through Breaker Link . £ 100 + vat Delivery £ 20 They are sending me the complete unit along with motor and relay . Nice people to deal with . I hope I am not counting chickens before hatching !!!!!!! . Keep you all posted , I know how bad these sunroofs were badly fitted .

it is not the fitting them badly you need to keep operating them every week and put a drop of grease on them I hope you got a good one I brought one from a breakers for the wifes car and they put it in my boot with the seats down it was 60 miles each way when I got home and we took it out it was full of rust around the main body.
