Sun visor pimping....

I'm in the process of re doing my roof lining to match the black leather vinyl seats and trying to decide what to do with the pale grey sun visors.

I can not work out what they are made off would they need re upholstering or could they take some kind if spray paint to get them black.

Any ideas?

A mate of mine had changed his to some with lcd screens in them, and has fitted small cameras in the front of the wings facing sideways, brilliant when pulling out of blind T junctions. He also replaced the rear view mirror with a 4" screen with a camera on the top of his rear hoop.

Sprayed mine with a black vinyl dye which i got from Halfords. Great finish and still looking good 18 months later.

I've got the same dilemer; just changed my interior from light grey to black and want to change my sun-visors to black;

Have been searching eBay for replacements; am on the verge of ordering some black ones from LR; but not cheap I suspect.

Postieparr - do you remember the product / part name from Halfords?

I have some left over vinyl black spray I did the dash in they are all pretty much the same il give it a try now.

Went into one of those fabric clothing alternation shops am yesterday with then and got very funny looks so spray it is!

Came up great! Vinyl spray way to go chaps.
