Sudden starting problem???

93 3.5 efi V8 Disco

has been fine for ages but suddenly refused to start, it turns over and i can mell the fuel from the exhaust so its getting fuel, recently the coil,leads,ign amp,dizzy cap and plugs have been changed so im pretty sure there is a spark. As i am far too busy at the moment to have a look i could do with some some ideas to try at the weekend.

Could the imobaliser be the problem as the engine isnt even trying to fire it just turns over?
Also are the earth points the same as the tdi and also would these need checking. Ive done a quick search but as i said, havent got the time to research at the moment:doh:

any ideas would be helpful

are there any ways to tell if its the imobaliser?

Had a simular thing on my discovery 300 Tdi, turned out that water had got into the roof mounted alarm sensor, brought two of fleabay and keep the spare in the glove box, might be different on your V8 but worth checking

nah in a rage i smashed up me laptop which had all my pics on of me truck so a pic of marius pudzianowksi will do for now

took the old one off, dryed it and it worked for a bit and when i pulled it apart you could see corrosion on the pcb and on the solder joints.
about 5-10 quid on fleabay
