has anyone retro fitted a sub box ?

i have bought an original RR sub as mine didn't have one expecting to just plug it in to the existing wiring loom

i can see where it fits as the rear side shelf has a vent in it for the bass tube on it but i can't find any wiring local to it .... my exact model is a 2.5dt so its only a base model

does anyone know if the wires are there or will i need to run power to it and signal from the head unit ?

thanks for any help

Not sure if the wires will have been installed as standard but I know a previous owner has put a sub in mine and he has wired that up by putting in new wiring.
Whether or not he was aware there may be wiring in place for it from the factory is a different question :)

hi :)
so you have brought the sub that has two subs built into that sort of plastic box, yes???
is so then you need the H+K sub amp and the wiring. it is just one cabe from the amp to the headunit.
you should be able to pick one up from ebay :)

could you post some pics plz pref one of the left side of the loading bay with the access pannel off and also one of the headunit.
thankyou :)
