Stupidly done it again

why do I try new products.

Picked up some on line black van liner to tidy up the bulkhead behind the seats. It’s OK ish but was fairly cheap. It came with some super contact adhesive that knocks the socks off the competitors.
Used the spare can to finally stick in the rear roof lining. What a bag of do do.
It’s on the floor this morning.

Had to order the stuff that works.

if you stick it to the floor will it be on the roof tomorrow as required ? just a fought

what about taking the roof off to do it so you are effectively glueing to the floor, then put it back on the next day?

I remember years ago buying a bulk box (12 tubes) of no more nails rather than the usual gripfill (which works great) to fix skirting/ dado etc in my new house extension.
It saved me a few bob at the time .
Stuck up a room of dado and skirting late on one day and returned the following morning to see it ALL felled orf.
Gripfill jobs are still stuck 18yrs later.

It’s the glue.
Contact adhesive grabs as you go so if it dunt fall off there and then you should be good to go. I’ve used loads of it inside the car and only had problems with a can of Wilko home brand spray. The one I have had no problems with at all is a high temperature spray with a green VW camper on the tin. I can’t even remember it’s name because I get it along with any materials I’m sticking.
This one came from a different supplier and wasn’t high temp but they waxed lyrical about how good it was. It’s kept the van liner on the bulkhead so far but not the final roof liner. It’s going on top of heavy scrim foam that is on top of EVA foam. It worked in the cab no probs with the good stuff. Just fell away in the back with this new crap. Probably with the hot weather.
New spray will be here by Friday so I’ll just go over it and walk it back up.

Evo stick. Stickier than a sticky thing. Get it in the wrong place though and that's it there forever.

That’s the one and indeed the people I get it off. It arrived a couple of hours ago and the lining is back up to stay.
I can’t fault this stuff, it hasn’t let me down yet for light materials. I tend to use brush on rather than spray for direct adhesion to bodywork.
