Stupid question - Wheel nuts

Hi all

Seems a bit stupid (well at least I feel a bit stupid) but I got a flat tyre last night and can't get the damn wheel off. So the wheel is jacked up, the 5 nuts are off and the thing just won't budge at all...



Do I need to do anything with that big one in the middle? I didn't think so but as I said, the thing won't move at all.

Hit it with a Soft faced Mallet or put a lump of wood behind the wheel and hit that. It just stuck on. Before you replace it put a thin coat of copper grease on the Hub.

Don't touch the nut in the middle!

Fortunately I didn't have a big enough wrench... it's for the brakes then I take it??

But I would think unless Landrover dun somthin very odd that big nut in the middle gives yer access to yer wheel bearins

Standard Alloy wheel probs against steel drums/ hub as above rubber mallet and wack repeatedly just watch ya knee as it bounces the mallet back (learnt the hard way )

If all else fails put the wheel nuts on loose and drive around in circles this sometimes loosens the wheel.
