Stuck fuel filter

Trying to remove the fuel filter on my 03 Disco td5, looks years old, wont budge even using removal tool i bought from Halfords, i know, was near by, even giving tool an assistive tap, no sign of movement, any ideas? Ta

In the wheel arch, be careful, the housings are made of a crap metal and they fatigue and break, You could end up buying a new housing as well and they are not cheap , about £100.

If it’s just a matter of it’s seized in and won’t budge I put a bowl down take a big screwdriver and jam it right through the filter out the other side, use it like a Double handle. Old Filter is UC anyway
