P38A Stubborn ABS Sensor

What better way to spend a Bank Holiday Monday?

Despite a nightly dose of PlusGas for the past week, front ABS sensor just didn't want to play nice. Reckon I'm almost there with this one, hope I can get the last of it out without removing the hub. Need to replace one of the rears after this as well!

Did your new one's come with a new bush, they should be replaced when you replace the sensor.

Do you mean the outer bush, or the inner copper one? I've got both, but can't see any good reason to change the outer bush unless anyone can tell me otherwise.

Get some heat on them and get them out.

Maybe a tap round with a hole-punch to get it moving?

Brummy spanner is one of my favourites.

To be honest I am surprised they're in that solid. Should be covered with grease.

Use a sharp punch and go down the sides to collapse it. Then grip it and pull it out.

Indeed, that's pretty much how I got it out in the end... die grinder, small punch, long nosed pliers, and pair of tweezers to get the last of the copper bush out. Was pretty solid in there.

Didn't even get round to the back one yesterday so hope it's not as bad, but as usual with these things, having done it once, I reckon I could do it again in a quarter of the time now.
