hi there
right i try again it a 200 tdi on front axle,as i said i was doing the bearing, when i took the hub off which leaves the stub axle the drive shaft that goes thro it seemed to have a lot of play in side the stub axle if you understand me as in drive shaft can be moved up and down side to side, what i would like to know is this normal or should the drive shaft be a fairly tight fit in the stub axle
cheers andy

Right, now I know what you're actually saying, I can reply with - It's normal. It's the splines in the drive flange that keep it central when the hub is fitted.

You do know how to pre-load the new bearings correctly, don't you?

hi :)
thanks for quick reply treworgey im pleased about that then and yes i know about pre load the bearings thanks again
cheers andy
