Hi, im new to this and to landrovers, i have a 90 with galv chassis, i recently purchased a steering guard but cannot fit it. This is because my chassis has 2 tubular jacking points built into the front where the front bolts of guard brackets should go, hasanyone ever come across this and is there a modified bracket available or do i meed to start drilling! Cheers.

They're a non-standard part of the chassis.

A standard steering guard won't fit, you'll either have to make the chassis fit the guard or the guard fit the chassis.

Is it possible to brackets onto the jacking points then cut the side mounts of the guard to suit & leave the chassis alone
spray the welds with cold galvanising paint, hard to see as no pics of the guard & brackets I don't have one on my 90
but have one fitted to my disco for reference ;)

That's how I'd do it. The jack points that are welded onto your chassis look solid and good, so if the steering guard doesn't have them then I'd modify the steering guard to suit. Whether that's a bracket or whatever, so long as it's solid!
