strong smell of petrol

my series 3 has started smelling really strong of petrol i dont think the tank is
split but was wondering if there is any gaskets i can replace anywhere on the tank cheers in advance

Check fuel hoses for damage or for any leaks along the system. Could always put some clean cardboard under the tank and see if any drips come from that to see if it has a hole

good place to start is lift drivers seat and check filler hose banjo clamp, they rot well and then leak.
other than that it should be quite evident with wet staining in top of tank if sender or take off gaskets are leaking
