or and the headache is here now haha

landrover gotta love em tho lol

To fast in low-range??? And wound it up?

yep diff lock and concrete a big no no mate as youve found (sad to say the hard way by the sounds of it) if you do a search im sure your find whats broke braking or making the niose im not 100%

find some wet grass and a person to watch your passenger side wheels and spin your wheels to determin what your problem is so as your leaver sits now where is it? bottom right?

Hey mate... it sounds like you've mangled your centre diff, or a prop shaft, cv joint maybe.

My dad had same issue in a SIIa. Didnt know it was in 4x4... 1/2 a mile down the road and bang... took service plate off the diff and all the orbitals fell out..

Expensive lesson to learn im afraid

Sounds like you might have broken the diff or hopefully a half-shaft.

To check the difflock's working all you need to do is have the main box in neutral and difflock on, then jack one wheel up .. if difflocks working it shouldn't spin. If difflocks not working, or is and a halfshaft is broken then it will spin! So check each wheel in turn .. if, for instance, the two front wheels won't spin, but one rear will then that rear has a possible broken halfshaft.

To cinfirm this jack a side up, say offside front and rear wjheels in the air and spin one .. with difflock working the other wheel should spin.

You can also undo the rear halfshaft encaps and pull a shaft, see if it all comes out! They often break half-shafts at the rear right where the cap is welded to the shaft .. ;)

If it was a cv joint, half shaft or axle differential, you will not have drive without difflock. So is the difflock on.
Jack up each axle and check if you can get drive. If one or both axles work, you have drive and difflock is engaged. If only 1 axle works, then difflock is engaged but then it is a cv joint, half shaft or axle failure in order of likelihood. If neither axle drive when jacked up this is normal and look to a difflock problem.
Is the difflock permanently engaged? Remove centre console and check if the rod in the difflock lever housing is moving from side to side and is engaged to linkage. If rod and linkage okay, it may suggest a problem with the transfer box internally.
I hope this helps.
