strange vibrations!

I get strange vibrations under the front passenger side of my disco 2 td5. It happens when I go over pot holew. It sounds like a ruler being pinged on a table. Had a mechanic look at it but he knows nothing about landrovers. In fact he only services old soviet cars. He said nothing appears to be lose he said? Any ideas or help?

Hmmmm.....a strange noise indeed.
All I can recommend is that you get underneath it yourself and give everything a good wiggle.
Check that the brake calliper is firmly bolted on.
Also check that your brake pipes are secure and not able to move around.
Jack it up and check for play in the wheel bearing too.
Does it drive in a straight line ok or does it wallow from side to side like a Thames barge?
If 'barge' is the answer then consider getting a set of poly bushes fitted.
