strange noise

Ok, how to describe a noise ,its a TD4 sport 05 . evewry time we start the engene after about 1 to 2 minutes there is a wooooo noise coming from the left hand side of the engine bay this lasts for about 10 to 15 seconds then stops never to be heard again, untill next time we start the engine, there are no other strange noises just this ,which is quite annoying . Any suggestions appreciated, thanks.

Hi, yes think so ,but the noise is flipping loud embarrasing even

yup thats your pre heater,

good old freelander eh

take it to dealer and ask them to look at it there is a new design air intake pipe which makes it quieter unless yours allready has it
