Strange think with the brakes. First thing in the morning start the vehicle and set off, first application of the brakes the pedal travels further than normal, one pump and its then back to normal. It can be like that all the way to work, approx 8 miles. last night the same thing but this time I pulled over to let someone ot without switching the engine off, set off again and first junction had to brake, longish travel, one pump, all ok.

Today out again and same thing. Stopped, reversed, forward, one pump to get the pedal as it should be then ok.

The brakes have new disks and callipers so could this be servo, master cylinder or something else?

Sounds like you have a pocket of air in one or all of your calipers.

Try bleeding them again and see if the problem disappears.

have you checked for play in the bearings on your hubs?
it could just be disc bounce knocking the pads back a bit and hence needing an extra pump just to close down the gap.

A hole in the servo.
As the servo only works with the vaccuum off the engine. with engine off fault wouldnt be present
