Its very possible that he has bought this from an auction of stolen recovered vehicles, therefore it probably would not have any paperwork with it. I dont see if it was stolen and recovered that it would be a cat B write off looking at the damage, few hundred pounds of body work damage, same for the dash and the headrest lcd screens would be about a grand or so. there doesnt seem to be any structural damage.
A lot of burglaries these days are only carried out to steal cars and this kind of seems like that to me. some young toe rags stealing the car to get at the in car entertainment thats why the lcd's and the dash is damaged to?
The guy selling it does seem very defensive and confrontational in his pitch. It does seem a little suspicous as you would think he would be straight up and say where he bought it why he has it in this condition etc.
If its not a cat B write off then this is a great buy to repair and sell it or keep it for a year and sell still making a big return.
As you said if its too good to be trueit usually is! Buyer beware!
