Hello everybody
Hope you are doing fine ! I am posting as I would like to know the standard axle articulation on a 1984 Land Rover 110 V8 in cm or inches. The vehicle is not equipped with anti-roll bars from the factory and is in stock form. Do the figures resemble these of the Suffix A-B Range Rovers which had around 80cm of suspension travel ? Let me know !
Thank you !

All is dependent on the shock absorbers used. Once they bottom out the axle will not droop anymore.
The bump stops are the upwards fixed point
Unsure of the measurement.. but a 110 off-road is always fun

Unless you have owned it from new how do you know it is stock? Plenty o time for parts to have been changed from 84. Jack up diagonal opposite wheels until the other two just leave the ground and get out the tape measure.:)

It will be similar to a Range Rover Classic as a 110 is basically a Series 3 on a stretched Range Rover chassis.
The main difference on the suspension is that the early Range Rovers had the rear shock-absorbers facing opposing directions and had soft rear springs with a self-leveling unit, although the 110 Station Wagons also had the self-leveling unit.

I am currently restoring it using only genuine parts and was interested in learning about the suspension on these early models.

Good luck with your restoration. Interesting trucks these early 110's with several spec variations from later models. Some even had a part time drive system like series vehicles.
