Hi folks. I have a RR P38A 1996 4.0 SE with LPG . The problem with my RR is that when im in traffic the rpm are to low and many time the car turn off. :( I have changed idle valve, TPS sensore and throttle to :( but nothing :( the same symptom. The rpm odometer move all the time when the car is in the idle. What can be :(???

This could very easily be a problem with your LPG set-up and nothing at all to do with your idle valve, or TPS sensor.

When was the last time your LPG setup was serviced and tuned?

Not more then 1 month and the specialist of the lpg system say that is nothing wrong with the LPG, and the low rpm do even in petrol to. He said to me that the car turn of because of low rpm and the lpg has less power then petrol so it turn the engine off .

Fair enough, if it still does it on petrol then it probably isn't the LPG setup.

I think getting it on diagnostics is the next step really.

I'm not sure what you can test without a fault code reader capable of reading Range Rover fault codes. A generic one probably won't do it.

You'll need Testbook, or a Nanocom or similar.

Hi folks. I got my Rangies to 3 Land Rover Service and testet on TestBook. And the error was O2 sensor and they say to me is because of LPG, and potentiometer of accelarator and they say that is no conection this sensor to my problem :(. Even them dont know what is the problem :(. What i have to do :(.

Just a guess but have you checked your MAF sensor?

You can check it without going to a garage by looking at the voltage using a multimeter. If you look in RAVE -> V8 Fuel System then the ECU connector diagram it will tell you which pin to probe to find the voltage. You should get around 1.4-1.5v at idle.
