still got fuel problems???

my mates disco 300 tdi (early one )have replaced the fuel lift pump,it manually fills the fuel filter no problem,fire up the engine and it ticks over lovelly,as soon as you give it some throttle its revs die and at full trottle wont go above 2000 revs and bellows white smoke take throttle off and after a couple of secs settles down and ticks over fine,turn engine off and the filters empty..manually fill it again kick engine over and all the same probs again,we cant think what to look at next any ideas???

under the rear wheel arch. it's sposed to catch any water in the fuel, but after a while they fill up with a jelly type substance which causes fuel starvation.
the nut to undo it is on top, not the bottom!

Watch out for the jelly monster

It clings to yer face and fkin suffocates yer.

Also afterwads replace the fuel filter.
Stick a 1/2 pint of petrol in goo for a blast to clean the engine out
